Of course the effort behind what I am doing is a worthy cause. As you may know from the introduction and "About Us" page of this website, that the reason behind all this effort was my daughter's allergies. To have that published in local media, telling the story with added selection of allergy friendly adapted recipes does not only attract people to what I do, but also adds to the much needed awareness about allergies.
The awareness about food allergies has improved dramatically over the last few years, however there is still a lot of evidence for poor understanding and knowledge amongst people. Therefore I will be working my hardest to help raise awareness.
We cannot talk about allergy awareness without mentioning the great job Liz Allan, Allergy Aware Kitchen, continuously does to improve knowledge and training in that field to make life that little bit more enjoyable for those with dietary restrictions.
In addition to providing awareness and training, the Allergy Aware Kitchen website feature a specialist supplier every month and I am very happy to be their choice for this month, it is after all my month! I find it fun to say "May is the feature of May", and to be published twice in one day is great.
